Sorting and Packing

It has taken a few months to collect the necessary gear for this trip. We have it all assembled and sorted by usage. Bike clothes, non- bike clothes, bicycle tools and accessories, miscellaneous items, camping gear, minimal cooking gear.

Next step is to load the panniers for weight distribution and balance. Figuring about a /60/40 weight split with heavier items in the front of the bicycle.

Jims clothing and bicycle gear.
3 cycling shirts (2 short, 1 long)
2 shorts,
3 prs socks,
leg and arm sleeves,
dry booties,
rain jacket and pants,
Windjacket
warm gloves,
hat,
cycling sandals,
sunglasses.
Non-bike gear: two shirts (long, short),
shorts, (swimsuit)
long pants,
long underwear top and bottom,
down jacket,
ball cap
lightweight shoes,
flip flops.

Long white bag pictured holds all of our charging cords for Phones, bike computer, headlights and taillights, kindle, stun gun and portable chargers. Travel cribbage board and deck of cards.
2 collapsible water bottles and 1 water filter bottle in addition to 3 water bottles on bicycle.
Camping gear.
Ultra lightweight 3-person tent,
UL down sleeping bags,
UL sleeping pads,
pillows.
Straps for attaching tent to rear rack
I Cook pot,
cups, bowls,
jetboil, fuel canister,
utensils,
cutting board,
some bars and snacks,
Starbucks instant coffee.
We will pick up a few more staples (oatmeal, dried soups, peanut butter, bread)
