We rode through and stayed in a series of small towns where Spanish was spoken primarily. Very friendly and warm . Not as many questions asked of us as in bigger towns like Globe or like today riding through the San Carlos Apache Land . Beautiful cool day with a bit of rain. Snow in the mountains. Must be getting in better shape, our longest ride yet and didn’t feel wasted. Rest days helped.
