We left camp and started on the south end of P’tit Train du Nord toward Montreal. We literally were on separate dedicated bike trail or paths all the way into the heart of the city where our little rental is located.
In the distance are some church steeples of Montreal
That entire blue line was part of our route and it’s all dedicated bicycle!
Humanitarian Jim helped this lady get her bicycles on her car. She waved us down as we passed by her house along the pathConstruction zone on the bike path. Building more lanes on a big bridgeIn the city. We had this bicycle corridor for 8km. Notice the curb from the car traffic on the leftSame part of our 8 km ride to our rental. Parked cars between the bike path and the street. Sidewalk to our right. Traffic lights just for bicycles. Notice the red bicycle symbol. To turn left you have to make square corners. This stretch was slow… we seemed to hit all the red lights. Stopping and starting is slow. I try to stop and put my right foot on the curb, it’s easier to take off again😊
We have 3 nights in the city. Our plan is to explore the city. Don’t expect any posts for a few days… I plan to consolidate the next few days.
Check out Mont Royal. It’s a nice run up and back.
