I’ve been having some trouble with the app I’ve been using to make my blogs. While my IT specialist (my son Dominic) is trying to help me sort out the problem, it hasn’t been resolved yet. Forced to use a different pathway, the fonts and type sizes are different and I haven’t figured that out yet. Alas!
Quebec City to Montmagny, Quebec
9/4/23. 38 mi. AIS: 3:18. 11.5 mph Elev 970 ft
We were escorted to the top edge of hill by Aimee, Fiona and Tessa. After saying our au revoirs we flew down the hill to the ferry.

View of QC from the ferry. Notice the wall and the stairway called the Promenade.
We were out of the city quickly. It was our first stretch of highway for the entire day. A secondary road following the River… we are in and out of several small towns. They were all really cute with mostly cape cod style houses. All the yard’s have flowers and are very neat and tidy.
The highway was pretty busy with Labor Day traffic…. Motorcycles, convertibles, campers and cars. No trucks. The shoulder was nice and wide and we had a really enjoyable tailwind. The views of the river with its tidal marshes and islands was very pretty.

When the tide is out, the river had several beaches and people were out enjoying the beach. It was a very warm, sunny day. Just a really nice holiday day

We found a nice campground along the River. Had some time to relax and our laundry actually dried on the line… that’s a first!

The following picture is a map of the route we plan to take into New Brunswick then Nova Scotia.

PoDo Rhythmie. I really really want to show you the videos I took of our 11 year old friend Fiona and her sister Tessa (9) playing the fiddle. Fiona also can play this Quebecois style of Fiddle with a foot tapping rhythm. It’s really fun to watch and listen. But…. This new format is not excepting my videos! Another thing to resolve (ugh).
Is the St Lawrence a bit salty when the tide comes in? What a beautiful city!
