Zero Day

Day 37

7/27/26 Monday

Mosquito count: 0

Today there is only one photo. It was definitely a “zero” day. Yesterday’s blog was so big everyone needs a break from reading and studying photos.

Pivot. Sometimes things don’t go as planned. We had planned to go fishing in the Kenai River but due to circumstances beyond our control we are pushed to later in the week.

That’s just fine we are tired from the big day yesterday and we have a big day tomorrow of halibut fishing out of Homer. So we just stayed in Kenai and Jim and I made plans and shopped for dinner tonight. It’s a chicken stir fry night. Everybody just scattered for the day to do what they wanted or needed to do.

We were all back for a nice shared meal tonight. Spent some time visiting and getting ready for a 4:30am departure to Homer. The boat leaves port at 7am so we have to be there ready to go onboard by 6:30am. It is a 1.5 hour drive to Homer.

Get ready ya’ll it’s likely to be another long story tomorrow!!
